Maddy’s Debutante Ball

Yesterday Ian and Robyn came and did a shoot out on location and as always created magnificent shots. It was the day of my Debutante ball and the highlight of my day was standing in front of the camera looking and feeling like a bit of a bride. It was a hectic day with lots of appointments and sitting in chairs while people were helping me get ready for my special night.
First appointment of the day was hair. All us girls lined up to get our hair styled and looking beautiful, I walked out with my hair in curls with a clip on top and was very happy with the end result. Next was makeup, this was the last appointment before our photos and I was ready to go. I decided to go a bit out there with my makeup and go with a striking smoky eye with a bit of pink in it as well to soften it up. When I put on my dress the nerves were starting to hit, i could see mum tearing up a bit as she looked at me in my princess styled gown.
We met Ian and Robyn at Chateau Mildura and we were ready to shoot. Being familiar with how Ian and Robyn work at excitations, this made it easy to pose and work quickly as we didn’t have much time left. We started off with some individual shots before my partner Jack came and we had the most amazing scenery to work with. Worn down brick walls and wine barrels were a great backdrop for photos and the overcast light outside was perfect for shooting in the type of location we were in. We done lots of different combinations, making sure we had every group shot possible in front of all the beautiful walls. Jack and I even had a practise of one of our dances while Ian stood by and captured it on his camera. Over an hour went past in what felt like minutes and it was time to make our way to the Club Da Vinci. All the girls there looked beautiful and it was so much fun celebrating the night with friends and family. No stuff ups were made during the dances which was a relief and my dress made it back home in one piece. I had a great night and i would just like to thank Ian and Robyn so much for creating great photos i absolutely love them.
