I guess you’d have to say that becoming a country music performer was almost a done deal from the day Kiera Smith was born. following her mum Gayle, around the various country music venues of Australia, before Kiera hit the stage first at the tender age of three. Mums recording career, radio success and endless music festival appearances all influencing Kiera’s vocational future.
Successfully performing in numerous talent quests all over Australia and collecting a swag of trophies and awards including Victorian Champion of Champions Award, in both Junior and Senior sections. Which in turn lead to an invitation to compete in Entertainer of the Year Awards held on Norfolk Island, where Kiera was awarded an encouragement award by famous Australian country singer Bill Chambers, who by the way is Kasey Chambers dad. Kasey will be performing at Perry Sand Hills on March 6th, more details at Arts Mildura Website.
With performing all over the place, plus TV gigs from a young age and now teaching the next generation of country music aspirants, I have no idea how she finds time to fit anything else into her life but she does. Kiera is now focusing on her next challenge, being accepted into the Australian Country Music College, where if successful Kiera will be tutored by the cream of Australia’s country music community.
